I asked members whether or not we should accept digital images made with the Holga lens and the response was very clear.

So, we will not accept digital images for the gallery. This policy is not meant to exclude anyone, but to preserve what we feel to be an important part of the Holga experience, which is the analog response of film.

I am happy to say that there are many places on DA to share digital photography, so no one need feel left out. Also, thank you to all members who responded.

Hey there.. just wondering if any holga group member has a degree in photography. there is an alternatives photo exhibition in my hometownthat I'd like to invite you to but must have a degree. Let me know if interested! thanks!
I personally do not( ~Cornucopiaoflov here who has not yet graduated), but I believe that ~RKHobbs teaches. I think it says on his profile.

i just ordered a holga 120N from ebay :)
is it hard to get an interesting photo out of them??
In my experience, the Holga tends to lend an unusual character to the ordinary image. It will also tend to frustrate the 'over-thinker'
Load it up and let it happen.

oh ok, thanks :)
also, i hear sometimes you have to gaffa tape it up? what do people mean by that? how does the film get exposed?
The plastic pieces don't fit together perfectly (from a photon's perspective).
Also, the slick plastic reflects a little bit, so light that gets in bounces around.
The tape keeps the light out. The velcro takes the place of the tape.
Also, the ultra flat black keeps the light from bouncing around inside.
